I'm not completely unhappy with my new van. It's getting me around at least. I came to the Bronze tonight to check out the band. I keep comparing local bands to ours. Somehow, we don't quite measure up

"Oops, sorry am I in your way?" I say this before I even really see the person who had tapped me. It was a relief to see this guy and not, well, Cordelia for example or Harmony behind me to tell me what a dork I was or how I had no fashion sense.
Actually the guy was kind of cute, well not cute in a Xander Harris kind of way, but you know, a different type of cute. I wondered what he wanted with me, he seemed nice so I was sure he was not here to mock me, though looks can be misleading.
“Let me guess you are in a class with me and need to borrow notes?” I said trying to sound nice but deep down disappointed that is all men ever seemed to want with me.
I give her a warm smile, hoping to let her know she couldn't possibly be in my way. "No." Before I have a chance to say more, she spoke again.
“Let me guess you are in a class with me and need to borrow notes?”
I get the feeling this is something she's used to hearing. I made a mental note of my own to remember that she's a good note taker. Must mean she actually does things like homework. I bet she's smart. I love intelligent girls who do more with their time then worry about their hair.
"Actually," I pointed to Scooby. "I was gonna say I like your shirt. It's pretty cool."
"Ohhh!" I practically squeel when the boy says this, and than I stop and analyze the way he said it to make sure there was no hidden sarcasm to it. Nope seemed sarcasm free.
"My mom does not like me watching the show because she saw a stand up comic make some joke about how the show was all about drugs and now she got it in her head that watching Scooby do is going to turn me into some crazy pot head which is so .ok I think I need to hire someone to make me stop when I start rambling like this." I grin at the boy and than decide maybe I can save it all by just doing the simple gesture of offering my hand and..
