“Achoo ” Kagome rubbed her nose, eyes glazed as she gave a goofy grin to the hanyou holding her up. “Have you ever tasted this” she sloshed the cup in her hand in front of his nose which only seemed to get the appalling smell closer to him “its...really really good.” Taking another gulp of it, Kagome gave out a huge giggle before losing her balance for the tenth time that night.
“No, I’m not the drinking type of person.” He adjusted his grip on her waist as she rubbed her body against his provocatively. It wasn’t uncommon for her to get so friendly while intoxicated but being as she recently broke his heart by telling him their relationship was over a few days ago, her actions weren’t helping any as questions popped up all through his head. “You know that.”
Again, her feet collided into the back of his left foot and her body leaned but this time her eyes seemed to be glued to his face. “I know.” She whispered. Licking her lips, she cast her attention down to the wet cement. The smell of rain in their hair and eyelashes, the firm grip at her waist...all she wanted to do was fall into his arms and never let go.
“I made a mistake.” She finally stated. The words were so sharp compared to her jumbled vocabulary thanks to the alcohol that Inuyasha had to blink and look at her for a moment to see no doubt in those blue eyes of hers.
“What?” He asked, astonished and confused all at once.
Ducking her head down again, long black strands fell down like a sheen of silk to hide her from the cold truth of heart ache. “I...should have never said those things to you. There is no excuse and I’m sorry. Just the thought of marriage and...it scared me. I’m so sorry.”
Inuyasha nodded once, turned his eyes towards the streets of Tokyo before bringing them back to find two blue orbs watching him intently. “I’m glad.” Opening her mouth, he cut her off. “I’m glad that you finally realized it was a mistake.”
Giving one of her playful smirks, she leaned in, breath hot and more intoxicating then any beverage could ever hope to compete with and kissed him hard.
Firm hands grasped her bottom, pushing her up until her feet lifted off the ground and legs wound about the man’s sharp waist. When they finally broke apart, they were panting and red in the face.
“Wow. We have to get you drunk more often so we can sober you up like this.” Inuyasha chuckled and kissed her again.
Kagome slipped her hands down and firmly grasped his ass. “Yeah, I like that idea.” She heard him take a sharp intake and heat glazed over in his eyes. “But first let’s get to the hot make up sex. I’m in need of a little warming up.”
“That,” Inuyasha smiled, “I think we can do.”
