After failing to get an answer from Dead End for the umpteenth time, and after the minor crisis of Motormaster getting pounded to scrap was temporarily under control, Breakdown finally ventured to comm Metroplex directly.

// Autobot City-Metroplex, this is Breakdown. Can you tell me when Dead End left your area and which way he was headed? //

// Um, thank you, MetroCityPlex. Um, we thought that might have happened. We will be coming to retrieve him soon. B-Breakdown out! //

After some time, Dead End realized he was quite tired and that huddling on someone's bunk in robot mode was more tiring than not. He quietly slid off the bunk, transformed in car mode, and plugged in to recharge.

Ravyn slips thought the door into Bluestreak's room, cautiously, not sure what she will find. She's a little surprised to find Dead End in his Porche form, sitting beside the Datsun's recharge berth.

"Dead End?" she calls softly, stepping up beside him to cautiously rest her hand on his roof. He's deep in recharge, which surprises her. He didn't look that low on energy when he left MedBay, and Motormaster had been quite adamant about Dead End getting his aft back to their base sooner than immediately. What could have possibly happened to force Dead End into recharge? Could he still have injuries from the blast that needed treating?

"Dead End... wake up, please?"

Dead End was indeed quite tired--he'd travelled to Metroplex in the first place from the Stunticon base, promptly volunteered himself for that scouting party--which involved driving at high speed to another distant point, shot out half the walls in the place, panic-drove out of the building and rode a massive shock-wave to the ground, had his forcefield strained far beyond its limits by said shock-wave, been injured, been worried, calmed Wildrider's hysteria down, and finally, hit with the very demoralizing news from Breakdown.

He took refuge in exhaustion and recharge.

Her gentle prodding getting no response, Ravyn slowly circles Dead End, noting where he has plugged into Bluestreak's berth. So at least he is truly in recharge, rather than in stasis lock. That is a good thing, and probably did not require her to call Ratchet to come check Dead End out. Yet. He had taken quite a beating, and had expended quite a lot of energy during their aborted mission ( ... )
