there is a word for this kind of swift bandaid esque removal and emotional up-heaval: Catharsis. the journey through the abyss that is a broken heart has many cathartic moments. the either hurt like hell or feel extremely liberating as the analogy goes it's a rollercoaster. it's no fun though, too many downs not enough ups. but you're tough and smart, you'll pull through and it sounds like you have some friends that are true, which is always a plus, and makes the journey alot shorter and simpler.

a word of advice, DO NOT REBOUND!! or if you do be aware of yourself and don't fool yourself into thinging it's real when its not it will feel real but chances are you'll just end up hurting the person you rebound onto.
