I think the whole thing with Geoffrey coming forward is a hoax. Bare with me though. I'm not saying LeRoy is real. I'm saying that Geoffrey selling his story to a film studio (as was reported in an earlier article and I'm assuming this would be the talked about movie) is just another way for him and Laura to milk the JT shit.

Of course Laura is going to gain a profit from the film. It's based on HER life and it looks like the studio is gonna make no bones about this being a JT LeRoy film. I think at this point the trio see that there's nowhere else to go with LeRoy and banking in on the whole thing being a hoax is the next logical cash cow to milk.

yall Laura is a GENIUS for what she did!!! You aint gotta agree with how she snowed a bunch of folks--but her creativity, comittment and believability to have this thing running for 12 years would certify her as a GENIUS...

Yeahs, this could be another hoax and the only way Laura sees how to make a buck off of this thing anymore is to play right into the hyper over the hoax... she has a KID to support. To be honest with yall its prolly why she kept this thing goin. I know it sounds stupid to some of yall but if you were taking care of a child--especially now, on your own--youd do just about ANYTHING to protect them!!! Especially if it meant ruining your reputation, you would put EVERYTHING on the line for your children..

not a genius, she just got lucky that there're still naive souls out there who wanted to believe. that "purity of intent" crap sounds straight out of the piehole of ms. albert herself. the only good thing about this whole mess is the schadenfreude it provides, if that could be called a good thing. this whole thing has been gross and ugly and above all, really really stupid.

and you can't say i'm bitter to have been duped because i never believed in the sainted little wunderkind in the first place.
