I am feeling massively under the weather (my poor head has felt like it has been underwater for days). Because of this, I haven't really been eating. This must be fixed

It was really good, despite almost everything going wrong. The bread ended up cracking (I put it on the cookie sheet upsidedown, so the "seam" was on top, not underneath), I undercooked it the first time (the recipe said 45 minutes, and it took 55), because of this, the burgers were done too soon... you see where I'm going.
However, the hockey and ice cream were both good. Too bad my team lost. The up side to them losing is that there will be a 3rd game in the best of 3, and it is tomorrow in Fredericton (last game in Fredericton before Nationals in Sask)
A meat thermometer can help with helping you be sure burgers are fully cooked. I used to have a set of individual meat thermometers I used for grilling so everyone got the doneness they wanted.
I always do the finger test when I cook steaks. It is a heck of a lot prettier than serving up a steak that has cuts all through it. I should really consider doing it for burgers too. I don't usually undercook them, but sometimes I lose track of the time, and take them off too soon. I'll be looking into a meat thermometer soon, just because it us a good thing to have. I think I'll be more confident with one.

In regular practice, I use the finger technique with cuts I haven't cooked lately - http://www.exploratorium.edu/cooking/meat/activity-fingertest.html
