Rome total war is being infuriating. It stopped getting past the first pointless screen on loading. so after an uninstall and a reinstall, the problem was still there!! so, after much internet searchage, i coldnt find anyone else who'd had this problem, so i downloaded the patch, just incase that helps. then i had to spend a whole lot of time ( Read more... )

the patch fixed, at least for one time. I will however uninstall clone cd, as i dont really use it at the mo. cheers quick.

the ones our house had worked fine with clone cd installed, had to use alchohol 120 to mount it till we got the patch tho

yeah, john was just telling me about the wonders of alchohol and how designers havent "woken up" to it yet.

however, and this is important: only 5% of games make any money, if you pirate games then you are stealing from them. why are developers going to keep making games if its just going to lose them money?

by all means download it and play it to see if you like it, but for the love of god people, BUY YOUR GAMES.
