It's just so damned hard to watch the people you love, those in your own family, hurting, hearts bleeding all over the floor, and know that the best thing you can do is to keep your mouth shut, not take sides, back off and let them make their own decisions

I'm pretty sure I will take you up on that this season. I know you know where I am, and the frustration of wanting, for all the world, to JUST MAKE IT RIGHT!!!!! and know that you simply can't. Bless you, dear lady. Not taking sides is so damned hard here. But it is something I absolutely HAVE to do. I am the one standing between these two, and may be able to facilitate communication and prevent more hard feelings. So I stand here, calm and collected, rational and reasonable, soothing hurt feelings and reaching gently for understanding and balm, and sooo totally unable to scream and cry and kick and did I mention scream? I don't see a lot of choice, I believe you have to do what you can, when you can, but it's a bitch, and not in a nice way.
I am looking forward to seeing you really soon.
