In an act of devotion to a series above and beyond the call of duty, I am currently watching the second Matrix film. About the only thing to be said for the second film is that it's much better than the third one

That would be kind of hilarious.

But yes, one of the worst sex scenes ever. How can two people who are so pretty to look at (Keanu isn't much of an actor, but he can be quite pretty, and Carrie-Anne Moss is stunning) be made to look so thoroughly unappealling while ostensibly having sex? Impressive.

And did they EVER explain why, at the end of the second film, Neo is suddenly able to produce an EMP? Where the hell did that come from??

It's "that Superman thing" again. The point to note about that is that, in order to do "the Superman thing", he first has to adopt a pose reminiscent of Bruce Forsyth...

I meant generally. She really wasn't in that sex scene though, which is a crime in and of itself.
