1. Where did you begin 2008?
In Strokestown, having a fairly crappy New Year. Decided not to do that this year.

2. What was your status by Valentines Day?
Single, and enjoying it.

3. Were you in school anytime this year?
Yup, though towards the end of third year it became increasingly evident that third year was ahead of me still.

4. Did you have to go to the hospital?
Nope, I've only been to hospital a handful of times in my entire life thankfully.

5. Did you have any encounters with the police?
No, very well behaved.

6. Where did you go on vacation?
Brittany, the French Alps, the Shannon. I'm very lucky really.

7. What did you purchase that was over E100?
I guess I paid rent for the flat in Trinity, which is more than that. No one thing though.

8. Did you know anybody who got married?
Indeed, and a merry fool I made myself at those weddings too. Cheers to Eamon, Lizzie, Boomer and Ceire!

9. Did you know anybody who passed away?
Not closely, although there were a few very tragic instances.

10. Did you move anywhere?
Moved into Trinity College. Not living in Bray is fantastic, it has to be said.

11. What sporting events did you attend?
None.

12. What concerts/shows did you go to?
Tom Waits, Billy Bragg, Kila.

13. Describe your birthday.
Messy. Had a joint birthday with the Gorman Twins, and ended up in the bathroom talking to God on the big porcelain telephone. So many different groups of friends turned up that I couldn't help but neglect some of them...namely college and Bray friends at the benefit of Gamers. This is why I must have separate birthday parties, of course!

14. What is the ONE thing you thought you would not do, but did, in 2008?
Repeated third year. Oh well.

15. What have been your favourite moments?
- Going on the Shannon with the lads. Best weather in five years, absolute heaven.
- Leprecon, as usual, was great fun.
- Seeing Tom Waits was the climax of a teenage dream, I feel richer for the experience.

16. Any new additions to your family?
Nope, still a few more years before my cousins start getting hitched. My grandfather has informed me that he's just biding his time until the first great-grandchild is born...I don't know how long he has to wait.

17. What was your best month?
July. Boating on the Shannon and the least work of the whole summer.

18. Who has been your best drinking buddy?
Niall. Valentine's Day is best when you pass the last few hours of it up a tree sharing a bottle of wine and yelling at the sky.

19. Made new friends?
Many many new friends!

20. Favourite Night out?
The Silent Night disco was very good fun, although that's just the most recent one I can think of.

21. Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
Trinity. And various people's couches. I love my friends, and appreciate their patience and generosity more than they know.

22. Have you lost any friends this year?
It feels like it. People growing more distant/being negative all the time just results in me not wanting to spend time with them either rather than wanting to patch things up. It's unfortunate, but it happens.

23. Change your hairstyle?
Not really. I've gotten it cut but it's always going to be the same vaguely shaggy non-styled mop. I'm tempted to shave it really close and see how that looks. Been growing a bit more facial hair which is good.

24. Have any car accidents?
No. Touch wood.

25. How old did you turn this year?
22

26. Do you have a New Years resolution?
Many, some of them rather typical:
- Do some exercise.
- Learn a smattering of Chinese.
- Finally get over my fear of learning to play guitar.
- Get a 2:1 for Junior Sophister year.
- Spend less money on drink.

27. Do anything embarrassing?
Many many things.

28. Buy anything from eBay?
Nope.

29. Get married or divorced?
Nope.

30. Get hit on?
A few times!

31. Been snowboarding?
I learned how to snowboard in March.

32. Did you get sick this year?
I've had a cold for about eight months which I think has protected me from other illnesses in a sort of Three Stooges effect. I should probably go to a doctor.

33. Are you happy to see 2008 go?
Not too sure. It means I'm one year further along, time constantly slipping through my fingers blah blah blah. I'll think about it.

34. Have you been naughty or nice?
Nice. And finishing last as per usual.

35. What are you looking forward to most in 2009?
That's for me to know and you to not care about.
