Two things happened today.

1. One of my friends announced he is a furry

2. I found emails from a dead man in my inbox.

These are both new experiences (though to be fair, the emails have been there for a while, sent while he was alive...and now I'm finding it really hard to delete them).

1. Did you keep a straight face, laugh out loud, or do the 'That's great, so happy for you' while thinking 'Omigod'?

Or were you a better person than I am and were genuinely happy for them when they bravely made their announcement?

2. Those things are so depressing. I stumbled across a LJ of a dude who updated the day before he was killed in Iraq.

Maybe just make a little folder and keep them there?

I lol'ed a little, and thought he was joking. He's the first person I've ever known who's admitted to it (who knows if I have other furry friends...I certainly didn't expect it from him!)

and 2, yeah that's a good idea. I wasn't expecting it at all, I was looking for my thinkgeek password and his email with a thinkgeek link popped up. I was about to email him, and then I remembered, nope, he's not gonna get that.
