advice warranted

okay, so here is the down-low: i like dance/electronic music, and this is something i'd like to add to my music library. i do not, however, know a damn thing about dancy electric music and - roll with me now, livejournal - i am accepting advice on this dilemma. who should i listen to? ideally, things i could download with bittorrent.

Because I am old, I vote for the first Chemical Brothers album, Exit Planet Dust. Try to be on tons of ecstasy in 1997 to really get the full gist of it.

I second The Chemical Brothers!
'come with us' is also amazing
and the new 'we are the night' is pretty alright as well.

Girl talk, flosstradmus, and hollertronix. That's all you need to download.

I do believe that I own you a book via the mail... although I don't know much about dance/electroncia music, I am more than willing to share my collection... you can expect to recieve some CD's with the book.

Don't forget to scoop up some tracks by The Magnetic Fields on your way from indie to electronic dance.

well that's pretty much a given. lately when i feel dancy i listen to future bible heroes or "get lost". i'm ready to take that next step, though.
