Agreed. Blue tooth headsets really infuriate me, especially back during the Wendy's days when assholes would come up to order and hold a phone conversation at the same time. I started charging those people for items individually instead of giving them combos and they never noticed because they were too absorbed in their damn phone calls.
That's a little extreme. I know they're annoying, but does that mean they should be punished? I'd rather laugh about them later :P
But yeah, Jason, you bring up a good point. People CAN stay connected....so they will. I try to think of my cell phone as a life line, you know? As in, "Oh shit, I forgot my key. Time to call the roommate." Compared to..."omg so bored in class brittani wut r u doin"
It's not too funny when customers consistently won't give you the simple courtesy of their full attention for the measly 5 minutes you interact together to complete a meal transaction. That combined with the fact that they also automatically assume you're a moron and yes, over time I've come to the conclusion that some people need a tough-love lesson in courtesy.
Well, they wouldn't be learning anything if they don't notice you did it. Plus, if you get found out YOU'D be fired.
Look, I'm not trying to argue with you, but that's taking it way too far. You worked at Wendy's. And yeah, I'm sure it was annoying to have to pick through two conversations. It just wasn't your job to give out free (or in this case, expensive) life lessons.
And even if they did notice later, they probably wouldn't say, "Oh, what a funny world this is. Perhaps I should take off my headset for a minute." They would probably say that kid cashier charged me extra. Followed by expletives.
