Flickr Upgrade in T-Minus ....

Sep 20, 2010 20:46

I generally log onto my Flickr account and look through friends' photos and my own. The fact that I can't organized my photos into more concise categories reallys gets to me ....so I bought a year-long Flickr Pro subscription. I know that this will definitely encourage me to take more photos, and I actually have a few photoshoots that I have ( Read more... )

I have a pro account also. I didn't really like flickr's interface at first when I first started to upload photos to it. And I'm so lazy to learn all the tools and stuff on there. But I kind of got used to it now. There are many wonderful things on there to see! I hope you have fun with it.

Thank you! I basically had Photobucket beforehand, and I hated the design and layout of that site. Flickr just seemed brighter and more organized and accessible. Let me add you to my Flickr list, since I know you have so many wonderful photoshoots.

I had photobucket before too. Then I realize about how they degrade quality of everyone's photos regardless of having a paid account or not (and they do this secretly, it is not written on their website anywhere that they do this, and most people don't know it because the dimentions will be the same to the eye and unless you right click to see the size, you won't know it has been degraded). It's really wrong for them to do this after so many people start to use them. They know many people cannot just leave photobucket because they used it for too long, so while they still charge you money to upload big files, they degrade it by more than 50% after it is uploaded. WTH. So now I don't upload doll photos on photobucket anymore. I use Zenfolio for my newer doll photos now which I really enjoy using. If you want to switch I can send you invitation via email and you get $5 off your subscription. I still kept my old photos on PB and I can't terminate it because I have too many things on there already. But if you want to migrate all ( ... )

Also, please don't feel pressured to add me back, since I think that Flickr is a very personal thing like LiveJournal. I also don't add everyone who adds me as a contact.

I've been on flickr most of the time cause lj makes me wanna poor my heart out even though nobody really cares. And on flickr I can do random, simple posts and it's easy to keep track of comments etc. And honestly I don't have friends and I've given up on the thought people I will probably never meet actually really care it's more a form of modesty which I don't mind :). I like the doll chatter and to see people enjoying the hobby. Anyways I'm Malfire I will look ye up and ad ye ;3!

Awww, thank you so much for the add! I'll add you too. And you never know about those people... the older we are, then the more access and freedom we get to travel and visit far-away friends.

I like Flickr for the simple fact of simply seeing other people's passion for life and dolls. Pictures express more than words can on Flickr.
