Q. If you were a character in the Moomintroll books which character would you be?
A. I don't think I've ever read the Moomintroll books, I might have had them read to me but obviously that was a long, long time ago by now. The extent of my knowledge about the characters is that most of them are some kind of albino hippo and at least one is a scarecrow/witch of some kind. Given that choice, I'll be an albino hippo.

Q. How many colours of nail polish do you own and what are they?
A. Two, one translucent pink with glitter in it that athaclena gave me (actually, it's the second bottle, the first was given to me in third year at uni when my horoscope in some teen-magazine said my day would involve something pink and glittery. The second was a replacement after I used all of that one up two or three years ago) and one kinda plum-purple that I bought earlier this year and don't think I've actually worn yet.

Q. I appreciate that you're all three, but would you rather be rich, pretty or clever?
A. Er... from my current position in all three categories, I'd go with rich. However, if choosing one meant becoming severely deficient in the other two, I'd probably go with clever.

Q. Which is your favourite Shakespearean sonnet?
A. I don't know any, not to know that that's what they are anyway. I probably would recognise a couple if someone pointed them out to me but if you ask me to think of Shakespearean sonnets, I draw a blank.

Q. When was the last time you threw your arms up and said "Yatta!" like Hiro, or did something similarly exuberant?
A. I entirely don't remember but I expect it would have been at something computer game based like finally gettin through a particularly fast song on Rock Band or winning a Peggle level on the thirtiest re-try.

Q. If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?
A. Yes. Also, if you didn't say that, yes. Also, if you asked me not to :P

Q. If we could move to absolutely anywhere in the world, where would you choose and why?
A. As you well know I would need the options severely narrowed on a decision like that before I could produce any answer past a blank stare. Somewhere warm and pretty with beaches.

Q. If you had to give up one forever, would you give up gravy or custard?
A. See, custard is undoubtedly the nicer based on it's own flavour alone but gravy probably does a wider ranging job of improving the flavour of other foods, it probably also occurs in the kinds of meals we eat much more regularly and is (probably) not as bad for me as custard. So I'll keep gravy and give up custard.
