It has been approximately six months since I last posted. Sadly I'm pretty sure that's nowhere near the record for procrastination.
Regardless, I have returned, if only briefly, to post a retrospective on 2007, though I am considering combining my live journal and my comic blog. *Thoughts*.
1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
Published a comic online. Or, for that matter, ANYWHERE.
2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any new years resolutions last year, but I wouldn't have remembered them anyway. This year my resolution is to have some new year's resolutions.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Fortunately I was in the next room at the time.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Luckily, no, although there was a close call.
5. What countries did you visit?
Australia! Ask me again in 2009.
6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
A romantic life that was in some small way sane.
7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 8th, the day my comic started.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Being a Team Leader for a whole year.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Church attendance, the semi-loss of a good friend.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Possible chronic fatigue, but hopefully just a vitamin problem.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
A playstation 2 for $100, approximately 1/5th of how much they were selling them for when they first came out, not counting for inflation.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Rache, for being awesomely awesome, and Lex, for being awesomely there.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The WGA, and the Studios. Yes, both of them. Also a friend.
14. Where did most of your money go?
DVDs, computers games, Cds/iTunes, Books. Nothing new there.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Overseas trip for 2009!!!!
16. What song will always remind you of 2007?
Still Alive by Jonathan Coulton.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i) Happier or sadder? Happier fo 'sho, brother.
ii) Thinner or fatter? Little bit fatter.
iii) Richer or poorer? Wealthier but also poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing, church attending, socialising.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Procrastinating, lethargising, making up words.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas with the family. New Years at work.
21. Did you fall in love in 2007?
Yeah. Yeah i did.
23. How many one-night stands?
None, and don't ask me again.
24. What was your favourite TV program?
Jekyll!!!!!!!!!!!!!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
A couple of people who hurt my friends.
26. What was the best book you read?
Fiction: Haven't finished it yet, but Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett.
Non-Fiction: The Masks of God, though I didn't precisely READ that.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The Black Parade, Veggie Rocks, and The Killers.
28. What did you want and get?
A temporary training job.
29. What did you want and not get?
A temporary training job that lasted longer than three weeks, romantic sanity.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Stardust.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
A turned twenty three, and I had some friends over for pancakes.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
No sudden transformations.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
Odd t-shirts.
34. What kept you sane?
My friends, and oddly enough, the lethargy.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
The main character from Blink, and only in "she's cute" kind fo way.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
A giant metal spoon. Ok, no, water.
37. Who did you miss?
Debbie, Kt, 40, Daddddddd.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
Cat and Jen (Jen wasn't strictly speaking new, but I hadn't seen her since she was 12, so it counts.)
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007:
Friends can sometimes (though very rarely) turn. Sadly I should have learned that lesson in 2006 as well.
