I'm happy I didn't buy the dvd now! My sister did, but now I can buy the Criterion version (if one comes out).

It's a shame that The Fountain got such a hard reception from studios and audiences. People don't know what they're missing. :/

It's a film that's rather abstract and wide open to interpretation. As such, I don't hold it against anyone if it didn't do anything for them. It's very much art that isn't spelled out for anyone, and as such, to some it will mean nothing, while to others (like me and presumably you too) it means everything.

That's good good good news. But I'm not holding my breath. I am, however, holding my DVD copy of The Fountain. If Criterion does decide to release it, I'll be HAPPY to double dip.

thanks so much for posting this.
I bought the dvd already, and I was reallyreally psyched for the special features. I admit I was pretty devastated at the lack of commentary and I was a little disappointed...I expected a lot more from the special features. I did, however, watch all the special features and found them to be really interesting.
always looking forward to more though xP yayyy.

I am so happy about this. I was just thinking that this would be great movie for a commentary. I really hope that this comes through.
