You've got to be kidding me.
Okay. First, that was gorgeous animation. I'll give it that. And it's good voice acting. And Kitty is on the team, which is a plus, even if Storm doesn't seem to be (at least, not after the initial attack). And I guess it's neat that there were cameos of new characters like Dust and such? But that's about all the good I

Storm should lead this. Or you know anyone with leadership skills. I WILL ATTEMPT TO GIVE THE SHOW A CHANCE.

I mean, I looooved Scott in Evo, but outside of that universe, he's just so bland.

I also quite liked him in the first movie.
I think there is a lot to be done with his character, just not enough ever really IS.

Wolverine is not a good leader, no, I dunno WTF is up there. But I'm cautiously optimistic.
And speak against the nineties cartoon again and I may be forced to cut you. >:(

Yeah, I'm still definitely going to give it a chance. But I'm lowering my expectations so that they can be exceeded, I guess.
And I'll admit that the 90's cartoon is what made me fascinated with superheroes in the first place. That and the SNES X-men game were the coolest of the cool to me as a kid.

Also, the possibility exists that the whole Wolverine Must Lead them thing is based on some sort of Future!Knowledge that Chuck has, not an actual assessment of their leadership skills. That would be a lot better.

You know, I've actually been thinking that's the case. Because I read that interview where they basically said, "Yeah, Wolverine isn't really a good leader, so that's why we put him in leadership: to create conflict and interesting characterization." So because they admit he's not a good leader, I assumed that's why Xavier is doing it that way.

But yeah, Wolverine? Terrible idea. He's a great fighter and all, but he's chaotic and unreliable. He can take the reins in a pinch during a mission, but he'll never make a consistent, effective leader of the team through any situation--which is what they need. Blatant fan appeasement much there?

And yeah, I pretend both the second and third films don't exist.

Some part of me suspects Storm's OOCness is in part due to Halle Berry's increasing "I'm an OSCAR WINNER DAMMIT" diva-like demands when it came to her role. X3 definitely bears that mark the most.

I mean, the third sucked out loud, but the second was great.
