Q: How long have we been planning Jan's pregnancy?

Longer than Jan. We had that card up on our idea board for a long time. Although we also discussed Angela's pregnancy being part of the show but it didn't fit in the storyline. So we hid her behind plants and purses and such.

I love that he explicitly acknowledges that the DADDY MICHAEL has been in the works since the beginning. Also, following up on our conversation about Holly staying on the show:

Q: Was Holly written with Amy Ryan in mind?

She was, actually. We're huge Wire fans here and the whole show has been talking about her for a while. We had her in mind but didn't know that we would get her. We're so happy she came aboard as Holly Flax, replacing Toby Flenderson.
