Disclaimer: I don’t own RENT.
Summary: The beginning of what is promised to be a Mark/Roger high school story of epic proportions....and fluffy cuteness abounds.
Author’s Note: This story will eventually be M/R, but it’s also going to be wicked long, so you’ll have to wait awhile. It’s also sort of a request story, for

I *looove* this! *eagerly awaits more*
The image of them sharing a can of Cherry Coke-- too precious! I've got total OCD, and all throughout school, I was completely incapable of doing the drink-sharing thing, which everyone did, because apparently they didn't care about germs. Except finally I wound up sharing a soda with a guy who also kind of had OCD, but who I wound up falling desperately in love with, so... yeah. I'm all long-winded, sorry.
Also, yay for music tastes (XTC, too? W00t!), and huge yay for the fact that Mark and Roger met up in a total makeout spot!

1. Um, I had to build molecules out of plastic spheres in sophmore Chem and had the exact same reaction as Mark: "Uh... we're in high school"
2. I like that Roger isn't some idiot. I hate it when writers dumb him down.
3. Cherry Coke is nectar of the Gods.
4. I also like that Mark doesn't love Roger's band. That's another trite plot line, I love how all your stories stay away from those.
5. I'm psyched for another loooong story like WDDMUW!
6. And if you make the OC a well developed character and not a Mary Sue (which I'm sure you will, I've read enough of your stuff), I can't wait for more!

I've honestly never liked a female OC in my life, and when Katie told me about her I was hesitant, just because female OCs are so terribly written and obnoxious. But I really love ours. If anyone knows me, they know I hate Mary Sues. I wouldn't write this character if I thought she was one. I'm glad you have faith! ^_^
Thank you!

Seriously. What is up with the plastic molecules? I remember my lab partner and I had serious issues with the little plastic string things that were supposed to be covalent bonds -- we could never double bond stuff. No CO2 for us.
That rant and strange chem note aside, I can't wait for the next part!
