ummm.... so has anyone else seen the MoCon menu for the 22nd (African American Heritage Day)??

let me give you a hint:

fried catfish, deepfried okra, red beans and rice, fried chicken, ham, african pilaf, corn on the cob, collard greens, corn bread and sweet potatoes.

so its okay to enforce stereotypes what?

But that's kind of one of the inherent difficulties in something like an African American Heritage Day. You can't honestly say the day is about how African Americans are just like everyone else, so it only works if you celebrate differences. Which may or may not be counter-productive. What would *you* prefer that MoCon serve?

normal shit that solidifies on the plate so that you can turn it upside down after three minutes without it falling off.

lets see, i dont like collard greens, im not allowed to eat catfish ("bottomfeeder"=bad accord to my rents) or ham, i dont usualy like eating corn on the cob...basically i know i'll be eating the fried chicken, potatoes and maybe corn bread? if it looks good. Oh and red beans and rice but thats cause of a jamaican thing not an african american thing
