I end up lying awake at night for hours too, but my insomnia comes from wonding if I'll wake up. I know I won't mind dying, but I worry about how others would feel. All the time, it never stops.
wow. don't take this in any scary ways, but have you ever considered counselling? it could be really good for you - and if you're covered in any way, say through work or Rene's school (I know my old job covered spouses and dependants, and I'm pretty sure you'd count as common law, right?), you definitely have a solid reason for needing it. Stress that seriously affects your daily life is worth looking at.
It helps me loosen my mental knots of tension if I ask myself extreme questions about whatever I'm stressing about. like what's the absolute worst that could happen, or the absoute best. sometimes it's so outrageous it makes me laugh. other times it hits closer to home than I'd like. but putting it into words always helps me put it into perspective too.
i'm looking into my options, employee assistance and the like, it may come to stress leave, not at that point yet, i think i'm kinda coming out of the extreme low i was in there, 1 day at a time
