Post-Budapest Post

Got back from Budapest last night. Really good break but followed t_f & my usual city break pattern of spending 3-4 days going to see all the sights and 3-4 days doing very little. The city itself is lovely. Oddly not as old as it sometimes appears because it was heavily bombed in WWII and reconstructed after. Heavily in denial of the communist

learning a new history all at once, rather than through slow change must have been quite a dislocating process. budapest has been one of the places i've wanted to go to for some time, but i just don't seem to be able to manage it.
