just to set things straight, i love and admire the diversity of everyone in america, and feel lucky to be able to live in a place where i can come in contact with many different tradiations-- but the point i dont like is when they bash certain ways of american customs and want change in places that are poposterous
i agree, but i just started thinking...didnt we do all of the above to the natives that already called america home when our founding fathers came over to this country? "adopt our language, our religion, our way of life, because you, my friends, are savages."
honestly, ive shed a tear or two for the way our founding fathers came in here and ran the natives out... its something im not too proud of... so i agree that they shouldnt have come in and bossed them around, just like immigrants today shouldnt come in and demands things
true true, i thank God on a regular basis that i was born in a country that protects my religious rights. i am sooo blessed that i do not face the threat of death everytime i drive to church or pray over my dinner
for those who dont know, christians are continually being put to death in other countries as i speak... China is a major hot spot for persecution. they have underground churches and its very risky to be involved. brendan is thinking of going there to be a missionary... let us know an updates...
just to inform everyone, this was an actual editorial written in the Tampa newspaper...by an American citizen. not a chain letter.
and last night, even though it was a rerun, dennis miller made some fabulous points. and i agree with him to the end.
this country is at a point where they are getting sick of being neglected. look at the minute men in AZ, TX, and CA.
so what people need to understand...as we as americans do in other countries for the most part...is that if people want respect from us, they need to show a little respect. diversity is a privilege, but it's being abused by americans and other cultures alike.
