Private owl to George and Fred Weasley

Hey George'n Fred

How are you guys? I bet you've been busy, what with Halloween and all.

Things are ... quiet here. Not seeing much to anybody really. I held the first DA meeting wednesday and it went really well. We didn't have any new members yet, but all are going to see if they can't lure one or two along from their Houses.

And... that's about what's happened. Ron's been off...somewhere. Hardly see him apart from classes and meal-times. Dunno what he's up to. Any clues? Hermione has her own stuff, although we're planning on spending time together tonight. Seamus and Dean? Heh... Neville is also somewhere around. Is it me, or has the Gryffindor commonroom reverted into an everlasting state of boredom? Honestly, no parties, no pranks, no madness other than in my head and I swear Filch is even smiling now. Only Peeves seems to be keeping him busy. If at all.

Damn, I wish there was a Hogsmeade weekend, I need to get out. Quidditch would be great too, but we all know that that's not going to happen anytime soon. Don't tell anybody, but I'm training anyway. Found an old battered snitch in the broomshed and was able to bring it up to near standard speed. I've found a spot over the Forest, where nobody can see me from the castle and the Aurors just seem to ignore the fact that I'm breaking the ban... or they don't know who I am as if I'm not so fucking recognisable it's almost enough to make me gag.

Okay, quitting the whiny-bratty-thing right now, although that got me into all kinds of fun trouble with you guys last time, hhehe. I managed to spook Snape, now that I'm actually doing my homework, and none of you are going to comment on that! Back to Snape. When he went over my notes for the bloodroot potion we were working on today, he couldn't find one. Single. Error. For a moment I actually thought he was going to take points for being a know-it-all, he had that look in his eyes. You know what I'm talking about... the Smaller-plants-and-mammals-would-crumble-up-and-die glare. I did the only thing I could do and smiled broadly at him and arched an eyebrow, just the way he has taught me (watch and learn and all that shit). So, the next time I screw up something in Potions, I'm sure I'll get detention. Was worth it though, hehehe.

Hedwig is eyeing the letter, so I'll better wrap things up before she becomes annoyed at the length. Hope you guys are feeling good and not losing your sense of humour over all that Halloween stress. See you soon.

Harry (also known as whiny-brat)
