Thanks Shaunna. I'm nervous about court, mainly because I have very little faith in our justice system.I think the system is a big mess.

But I'm just hoping I swear a lot less in court than I did in this entry.

you could try emailing various bicycle advocacy groups in chi; they might be able to give you good advice on law-type-things. the cycling sisters is one that i'm on so it's the first i can think of: cyclesis@yahoogroups.com

you could also go to or call a bike shop; they might have connections they could pass on...

Thanks for the leads! I'll definitely try to contact the bicycle advocacy groups, I didn't even think of that. I kind of figured I'd go to Irv's at some point to get an estimate on the value of the damage to my bike, or the value of my bike, so that I can bring something to court. So I'll ask if they know anything.
