You've certainly got a point. I completely forgot that one of the main differences between Macs and PCs is literally thousands of dollars worth of software, in that one doesn't come across either illegal or cheap Mac software - ever. At least not to my knoweldge

I wondered about that, too. I don't know if I really ever want to have a credit card of any sort, but I would have to read through all of the Apple credit nonsense before jumping into things.
It's alright to have a credit card, and actually a smart idea, it's just important to develop a sense of self-discipline with it. Otherwise, you'll not develop much in the way of a credit record and pay out the ass in interest on other things you may want later in life, such as a car, house, etc.
Ultimately, it's best to pay cash for everything, but you can't, (like a house) so it's best just to be credit smart, than not to have any credit at all.
