The only thing keeping me from quitting smoking is the fear of gaining weight. I know it would happen. It's unavoidable. And I am just not okay with that.

I don't even like smoking anymore. And my fiance thinks it's gross. Hell, so do I. But I'd rather be thin and smell smoky than be fat and smell lardy.

You may gain weight, but now is the time that you can quit without gaining "too much weight" and you will be more likely to loose it then when your are older.and if you keep smoking it will only get harder to quit, thus you will gain more weight later, and third you will look way older the longer you smoke. the wrinkles, the leathery skin, and even worse the longer you smoke the more damage you will have to your lungs, which makes you even more unlikely to excercise to loose weight if you do gain it regardless of smoking.
that is my advice, quite now while you can.

No kidding.

I'd rather weigh another 10 pounds then smell, have yellow teeth, leathery skin, smokers laugh and an iron lung. ick.

Ditch the cigs!
