Every week or two I promise myself that I am going to start making more of an effort to date. Both of my experiments failed big time before they ever really started. What to do now...

I finally heard from Wayne State last night, and they are taking a pass. Seems that the people I wanted to work with want PhD students rather than masters students in their lab. I am sure that there were other factors as well. So, I am not going to attend Wayne State, which means that I can put off moving for a little while.

My brothers and I met with some lawyers and my dad's financial guy yesterday. The meeting started at 9:30 but my older brother was running late and my younger brother was joining us by phone, so I ended up chatting with these three guys for 1/2 an hour about my dad, family, and education. I just found out last night that my dad's body will actually be there today in a coffin. I am not thrilled; I don't want to see him like that.

Missed a phone call this morning but woke up to the voice mail notification sound. Called in. Very strained sounding message from my older brother's wife saying to call her or my brother right away.
