Bakery work's goin' pretty good, I guess. Rangiku's back. Aizen-taicho's here. Luppi's moved out, so has Izuru. An' Kabegami-chan's gone, too...

Hey, Ran? When we goin' ta get a kitten? It'd be real fun ta have it 'round the apartment, y'know? Then later maybe we can have a few drinks or somethin'.

Mmmm.

I think I'm gettin' sick.

I thought Aizen-taichou was always here? Eh, and who is Luppi? Another pet? Was it Kira's pet?

Hmm~ now? Hehe~ and you better not name them after my girls... Gin can find his own name.

Ne, but if you are getting sick, maybe we should wait until you're feeling better?

Naah, Luppi's... Um. A friend o'mine. I dunno if he'll like ya very much though, Ran. |) But that don't mean ya gotta go.

I don't wanna wait, though... We should get a kitty now while I'm still feelin' okay. So when I get sick, I'll have a kitten ta keep me company. |)

Ehh, why wouldn't anyone like me? And better believe it! I was here first... the couch is mine!

Okay! Get all bundled up then, and we can go right now~ Ne, I'd keep you company too, you know...

Okay, gettin' ready now.

Sure ya'd keep me company, but ya don't fit on my chest fer sleeping, and ya don't curl up into a ball o'fluff and purr. |)

Don't worry, Ran, I still like yo' company.

If you're feeling ill, perhaps you should rest and let someone else do the baking for a while. That way you'll have a perfect excuse to order people around while not actually doing anything involving physical labor yourself. You can even say it's for the good of the customers, since you wouldn't want them getting sick.

There are quite a few eager young bakers in this town, as well -- what about a competition of sorts? 'Prove your skills to all the city and earn the honor of assisting renowned pastry chef Ichimaru Gin in his own bakery for a week' or something.

When you turn things into a competition, it's remarkable what you can convince soldiers to accomplish that they'd ordinarily consider nothing but drudgework. I assume civilian teenagers' competitive reflexes must be reasonably similar to soldiers', since by definition all soldiers were teenagers once...

Hmmmmmmmm. Sounds like a good idea. But I ain't got no mind ta start a competition right now... An' all I got ta help me are my workers. No way Aizen-taicho's gonna take up the bakin' routine.

I'll think 'bout it. Thanks, Long-Hair-san.
