I was going to post and tell you all about my new job, with its decidedly eye-burning uniform, and to flail over Doctor Who and so on, but in other news, my parents are splitting up.

I'm aware I barely know you, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am, I hope their split is amicable and you are able to accept their decision. I'm fairly certain it's never easy but you seem like an incredibly intelligent amazing young woman so I'm thinking that you'll be alright.

Wow, everything sounds so cliché, please know I mean it with the most heartfelt sincerity. My parents split when I was younger, I grew up with just my mother, there is a certain stigma attached but mostly it was for the best.

...I know it's taken me ages to reply to this (for a change) -I've been kind of reclusive and then on holiday and then disorganised- but, nngh, I want to let you know how much I appreciate you commenting on this. Like you said, we don't really know each other, but all the same you left such a supportive message (when I know I'm inclined to emotion-dump over the internet) and, sjknd, thankyou.

I sort of know that this situation could've been a lot worse as well (there haven't been any massive arguments or anything like that), which means I at least know where I stand with it all. And I hope that you're right, and it does work out for the best.

Nnngh, thankyou ♥. It was kind of expected - there weren't any big arguments or anything, thankfully, but I did know that they weren't happy together and something needed to change. I don't think my sisters expected it at all though. So. It could've been worse. But thanks so much for commenting and being supportive and ksfjn yeah everything.
