So, about 14 months ago, my coworkers and I did a project at work. I can't remember if I wrote about it or not, but here's the basics. They wanted a conveyor/elevator to move parts under the assembly line, and elevate them to the Team Member for installation. And they wanted it yesterday! I guess reusing bits of code would make sense. I've done that before. It's usually easier then trying to retrofit parts of a machine.

What really sucks is that I know I'll be going through the whole process again at some point.

Pretty much as I said. They wanted to make some changed, and said we need a machine to "do this." So we made it, and I guess they changed their minds. It sat for about 14 months, and then we tore it apart, saved what was useful, and scrapped the rest.

It's not the first time this has happened. It was fun to build, but it sucks no one ever used it.
