What a bittersweet race.

I'm starting to hate watching the Derby. Something I've lived for my entire life. I used to want to be a Jockey, until I grew. 5'1" is tall for a jockey....and I'm 5'7". Hahah. I could race trotters but I haaaaaaaaate them, so that's a no go. Sulky races don't hold my attention for the race.

god..she was so gorgeous...

I just wish they would wait until pushing them so much. They are just to big to young for that sorta strain. Wow I mean a 17.5h 3 year old is GInormous!! I didn't even know she was that big.

I dont believe in breaking a horse younger than 3..they need time for their joints to finish growing..i wish they'd run them at 4 or 5 instead..but i'm sure thats ancient in horseracing years.

gawhhhhhh what a terrible waste of beautiful horseflesh.

I think Big Brown has more issues than a quarter crack. He was noticeably lame afte rthe race(I mean, head bobbing lame) So he has to have one hell of a quarter crack to cause that much lameness. And I don't have much respect for his trainer either. He has said in interviews that the reason the horse hasn't race dmuch is because o fthe painful quarter crack. So retire him-don't put him through that. Or, wait until he's better! I do think Big Brown is amazing. And you can tell he was conditioned well. I just don't like his trainer ( ... )
