Ok, everybody definitely needs to chill the fuck out. I can't believe some of you are taking these rumours seriously. This is all one big scam, and many people (predictably) fell for it. Some people live for sturring up shit and creating mass hysteria; would it be that surprising that someone has targetted the big ass fandom that is Harry Potter

I've only seen the scan about the death, and the first chapter. I believe the first chapter one: that was actually photographed, and it didn't involve shipping at all, so.. And it definitly had JKR's style of writing and humour.

*shrugs* I am extremely worried that H/G is going to happen. Very very very worried. I'm hoping it won't---but most of the H/G spoilers I've seen have come from spoil_me_hbp, which is a general community. :/ most are H/G shippers there, though..why would they lie to their own kind?

i asked this a while back in responce to a few posts but no body really answered it: What were some of the "spoilers" pre-OotP that didn't end up happening if you can remember? I just got into HP recently so i didn't know about any HP spoilers then...

Well, if I can recall correctly, the major shipping spoilers for OotP were that Ron and Hermione would get together and then break up, or something stupid like that. And everyone was so sure it was going to happen. *eyeroll* Other (general) spoilers were that Luna Lovegood would be introduced as a new character and that it would be Sirius who died. Of course, those turned out to be true, but they have nothing to do with shipping, do they? No one believed the Luna Lovegood one because it seemed 'made up' or sounded too 'absurd', and as for Sirius dying...anyone could have easily guessed that.

Anyway, this is an entirely different book and the fandom has changed since the release of OotP, so old "spoiler styles" aren't at all significant this time around.

I think the panic is quite funny really. To me this does sound like an awful fanfiction, and if that's what JKR has had to do to her books to make OBHWF... well, it's amusing.

Especially the soppy!Harry in the breakup scene. Gods, I love him. Laughter really is the best medicine, isn't it.

It really is funny, in a rather sadistic way, of course. ;)

I mean, if JKR really intended to go the OBHWF route, you'd think she'd have built both ships up. R/Hr has enough to sail (even though I think it's all one big red herring), but H/G? Please. And I know the movies shouldn't really be considered canon, but they're still a representation of the books. Where has Ginny been in the movies? If she was that important to the series - to Harry - you'd think she'd have more screen time. The reason we see R/Hr and H/Hr in the movies is that that's what's in the books. Both are possible, and to me, they're the only two ships that have enough to go on. If R/Hr were ever to happen in canon, I'd be disappointed but I wouldn't feel cheated because there are clues that can be interpreted to support that ship. As for H/G? They have nothing. NOTHING. Why don't people realize this?!

Harry/Ginny is rubbish. I love his indifference to her as a LI - Ginny can't interest him as a LI and neither can our darling Ginny!sue.

And why don't they realize? Because simply they are careful readers and we are not. The answer to all shipping questions.

I was also referring to H/Hr shippers that are freaking out over these "spoilers". Have they completely forgotten that Harry doesn't give a rat's ass about Ginny?
