Stealing Honey from Bees

On Saturday morning I woke up bright and early to help my Grandmom and Aunt Celia extract the honey from their hives. Since the extraction coincided with Grandmom's birthday, Celia made it a family event. I've never done anything like it before, and it was really interesting to see the process. What a wonderful story in pics!
I can almost taste the fresh honey! Near us is a lavender farm owned by people who also keep bees. They steep the freshly picked lavender in the honey, which you can buy. There really is no better taste then lavender honey!
