Believe it or not but it seems like our old friends on the Victoria II are having the same troubles we are having.

The little bugs are crawlin' all over the Victoria now.

Coincidence? Not likely.

Avoiding these small robots isn't easy for someone of my height and I keep stepping on them. But at least this tells us that the source of these bugs is the city, not the ship.

Are you suggesting that these mechanical pests are roaming throughout the entire city as well?

...Funny, I haven't heard any news about these spider bots on the network.

I wonder how many other ships are infested with these things...

It's the only sensible conclusion. The Silvana and the Victoria II have nothing in common, save their current port. I haven't heard anything over the network either, but I think it's safe to assume it's city wide.

Unless someone is specifically targeting the ships.

Someone must be controlling these things...

Yeah! A radio frequency or something of that nature. Someone in town could be nearby controlling these spider bots, I am sure of it.
