I know they aren't the most popular fandoms, but if anyone could point me to fic for these two fandoms (already been to AO3 and ff.net), I'd be thrilled. I can find KR fanfic - it's a far more popular show. I'm especially interested in fic that crosses them over with the original KR or, even better, with each other. I wish I could be of help to you. I've seen a few TKR fics floating around, and more of 2008, but I think anymore they're few and far between. You may want to check out the Knight Dreams fic archive... but oops. I just tried to go there and the page isn't showing up. Um.

Dragovianknight on AO3 has a good series started that combines classic KR with '08 called 'Indestructible', but I'm not sure it's what you're looking for. I don't remember much in the way of romance or pairings in it. Also, she hasn't updated it for a while. :/ Blazingskies also has a TKR series but I can't remember the name.

All I can really say is keep digging, there may be some out there! Or you could always write your own. :) Good luck!

Thanks. I actually have read Dragovianknight's (and really hope more is written - I really enjoyed what was there). And then I found it was also at ff.net, but with an extra chapter (it's all as one fic there) and not updated since 2010 and I thought it probably wouldn't be touched again. :(

I'll look up Blazingskies and see if I can find the fic.

I really ought to try writing. I just don't have the work ethic to stick to a story - whenever I try, I write two scenes and then fade out as soon as I run into the first thing that I don't really know how to get a handle on.

I'd have to rearrange the orders of KR08 and TKR, as airing order obviously isn't correct chronological order. That's not creative, though, and is the easier part for me.

I hope so too. Strangely enough, I got an email from her right after getting this comment so I mentioned it to her that it's not just me hoping she'll update!

You sound like me. I'm much better at RP than I am at writing - I can't keep the flow or the plot going when I'm working on my own. Or I'll get bored because I already know what's going to happen so I don't feel like writing it out. I've just had to accept I'm not a fic writer. I sympathize with your plight!

Oooh. I never thought about trying to rearrange the order of the shows. The problem with KR is that all the sequels and spinoffs weren't planned like the Star Trek sequels, where everything had to fit chronologically and logically into the same universe. It's hard to reconcile TKR, KR08, and KR2000 into anything making sense.

Actually, for reorder, I only meant within a series, not between them. Like one episode references something that didn't happen until a later one. Or in KR08, we see Billy and Zoe sleeping on the couch in one episode, and in the next (or the one after) we see them move the couch into the room it was already in in the previous ep (at least from the order on the dvds). Not to mention after several episodes of the post-government gang working together we end with "our first mission" - that one should have been the first one after their regrouping, it seems. That sort of thing. For making them all work together, the only reordering that matters (to me) is getting the last few eps of KR08 in the right order, since all the rest of it happened so long ago ( ... )
