I am having my first ever run-in with identity theft. Our mortgage loan officer sent us our papers via Fed-Ex, but did not require a signature. So, Fed-Ex says they delivered the package to our door, but we never saw it. If it wasn't so serious it would be funny - someone literally walked up to my doorstep and stole my identity, in the same way

Out of total curiosity, cuz I just thought of this before going to bed, sometimes FedEx people leave stuff with neighbors. Not always, but sometimes. Have you asked around just in case?

That's a good idea...maybe we should. We don't really know our neighbors that well, but it's worth asking anyway!
