Some former inhabitant of this city had the brilliant idea to dig a large hole and build their house in that.
Aesthetically, it works. Somehow. I wouldn't put it past the architect or landscape artist or whoever was responsible to provide top-quality drainage in case of a heavy bout of rain.

Okay, it's a little funny. It's good to find something to laugh about in this city.
I just spotted some kind of reptile swimming past the windows. I've never seen anything quite like it before. Far less adorable and harmless than the spider.
