The owl that Harry had received from Ron had startled him, and he was worried about his friend. So he was dragging Draco to the Leaky with him to try and find him and see how he was doing ( ... )

Draco was nearly to the point of hallucinating lately with how little he was sleeping at night. If it wasn't the fear of pregnancy and how to deal with it, he was having massive headaches that woke him in the night making him vomit. He tried to keep it quiet so that Harry wouldn't know how sick he often was. But the potions he'd managed to make seemed to help him, along with the antihistamine, which made him drowsy. It made focusing in class difficult, but he was doing all right thus far, in spite of almost sewing through his finger.

He wasn't sure if he felt good enough to go to the Leaky with Harry, but he'd be damned if he was going to let the father of his baby hang around with a single Ron Weasley after the fuss there had been before. Er. Not the father of his baby. Strike that.

He clung to Harry, feeling more cranky than nauseated. Worse yet... he'd have to deal with Weasley, who looked worse off than he was, and that was saying something. He followed Harry to the bar and took a seat. "Pina Colada, Tom," he said. "And toast."

A few pints later and Ron had forgotten all about the bills. But not Neville and the house.

The thought of selling the house and talking to Neville had put Ron in a foul mood. The pain seemed worse than it had in weeks.

He missed his home and he had to keep reminding himself that it wasn't a home without Neville.

Lost in his morbid thoughts, Ron didn't see Harry and Draco, until they were right there next to him.

"Harry! It's good to see you!" He looked at Draco who looked paler than usual. "Hi, Draco. Good to see you too." Ron waved his arms wide and added, "Welcome to my home!"

As Draco ordered a Pina Colada, Harry had a hard time not growling at him. Trying to keep his voice as quiet as possible, he whispered, "Draco! You can't have anything to drink!"

He tried to smile at Ron as he greeted them, but he was feeling too worried about both of them for it not to feel forced. "Good to see you too!" He wanted to ask how he was, but he feared that it was painfully obvious. "Your home, that's right. How are you liking staying here?"

Wincing even as the question left his mouth, he found himself wishing he had a better idea of what to say that would comfort him. Moving to sit down, he looked carefully at Ron, wishing there was some way he could put a genuine smile on his face. It was clear that no matter how much alcohol Ron consumed, he wasn't going to feel any better.

"Don't placate me about my arse, Weasley! You heard Harry! It's perfect no matter what comes out of it!" he huffed, whirling around to glare at everyone angrily. He felt horrid, his stomach had turned at the sight of the food and the smell made him feel green and did Neville Longbottom just tell him to shut up?

"Oh, I'm so sorry it's too loud in a pub for you! Maybe you should consider going to a library or someplace quiet if silence is what you're looking for. We can play darts or discuss darts or throw darts at your broad head as much as we want!"

He grabbed the firewhisky first and tore the top off of it and gave it a long, hard, rebellious swig. That's right. Take that Gryffindors!

Neville gave Draco a small smile and saluted him with the glass in his hand. "Libraries don't have firewhisky," he said, "and last I heard they don't let you bring any in, either. Cheers."

He tossed back his drink, slammed the shot glass back onto the bar, and poured another. "For what it's worth, you're not fat. I've been there, done that. You're nowhere near fat."

He turned away, but not before attempting to steal another peek at Ron when he thought the other man wasn't looking. Ron looked...he didn't look happy, even with Harry standing right next to him, even though Harry wanted to talk about Quidditch which was only Ron's favorite topic of conversation.

Ron must have had a bad day at practice, Neville thought. Nothing else would make him look quite that morose.

"Then why'd he come? I don't need his sympathy," Ron said sulkily.

Draco grabbed the Firewhiskey and as soon as he was done drinking from it, Ron ripped it out of his hand. "Shut the fuck up, Draco! I said leave Neville alone!"

But Neville had snapped back at Draco, and Ron, who had never been prouder, hid his smile behind his hand as he looked at Neville's profile. He looked tired. 'Probably been out all night with Kenneth,' Ron thought as he drank half the bottle of firewhiskey.

The situation was rapidly deteriorating, and Harry didn't know what to do any more. Everybody was snapping at everybody else, and he simply couldn't take it either.

"Don't yell at Draco!" Harry snapped back, moving to stand protectively in front of Draco, his hands hovering over his stomach. "You might upset the... He was just responding to what Neville said." He took a deep breath. "Look. There's no reason for us to yell at each other."

After Ron had finally set the bottle down for a second, Harry reached for it and took a large gulp. If everyone was already drinking, then he was going to just have to do so too. This was not going well at all, so at least they could all get trashed. He ignored the burning sensation in his throat before handing the bottle back to Ron, not any less frustrated.

He wished he could just shove Ron and Neville at each other so that they could see how right they were together and how miserable they were apart. If this kept up, he was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to restrain himself from doing so.
