Dressing in a dress she'd bought when out with Padma the other day, she checked herself out in the mirror before deciding that she looked good enough to leave ( ... )

Pansy smiled. 'You know me from Hogwarts?' she said. 'But I didn't know you?' That described most of the people from Hogwarts, actually. Maybe the school robes detracted from everyone's appearance...maybe that's why she didn't remember so many obviously attractive people. She smiled again, warmly, her brow raised inquisitively.

'Thanks,' she said finally, feeling warm by the way Pansy looked at her. When she glanced up her mind filled with the images of fantasies she'd long thought were forgotten and she quickly looked down on her Cosmopolitan again.
Taking a sip of the drink, she tried to will the images of her teenage fantasies away.
It didn't help. If anything the alcohol made them quite a bit more vivid. The fact that she knew a lot more of what could go on between two women didn't exactly help her push the thoughts away either, but she forced herself to meet Pansy's gaze anyway.
'I didn't exactly know you, more like noticed you,' Vicky admitted with a shy smile. 'You were noticeable, I guess, because we weren't even in the same house.'

She watched as Vicky took another sip of her drink, watching the way her lips moved on the edge of the glass. Suddenly, she said, 'So Vicky of Hogwarts, could I talk you into joining me at a table? I don't often get to chat with people from school these days.' Pansy smiled encouragingly.

He didn't particularly want to be social, but he liked the noise at the pub. Since Tom had redecorated, it always seemed to be pretty crowded, which made people watching more entertaining. He ordered a firewhisky and some chips when he remembered that he'd not eaten anything for lunch. When his drink arrived, he sipped it and scanned the pub for anyone interesting to watch.

"Fuck. Sorry; accident." He offered an apologetic smile, fumbling for his wand to clean up the mess.

"No harm," he said. He pulled his wand out and cleaned it up since the bloke seemed to be having difficulty getting his. He glanced at the guy and wondered why he hadn't run into guys that looked that good until after he was off the market. Course, loving Nick didn't mean he couldn't look. Didn't have any interest in going beyond the looking anyway.
"Looks like you need a new drink," he said. He caught Tom's eyes and nodded towards the empty glass before he picked up his own. "You're Boot, aren't ya? We were in DA together a million years ago."
Reply
"Yeah, I'm Boot. Terry. And you're Smith, right?" Smith was an easy enough name to remember and it was easier to put the name to the face now that the wizard had spoken. "Merlin, I haven't thought about the DA in ages. Seems like a lifetime ago."
He picked up his glass from where it was lying on its side, frowning slightly and meaning to order another one when he could get Tom's attention. The Leaky certainly seemed to be busy since its makeover, although Terry had only popped in a couple of times since the reopening, thoughts of what he'd got up to with Chambers still vivid enough to make him blush.
