I got done with Nano two days early.  I'm pleased with the final outcome.  I managed to write a social drama without any magic.  It's an okay piece of realistic, vaguely historical fiction.  Go me.

Invincible.  I love it.  Endlessly.  It is one of the finest super hero comics I've experienced as of late.  It has great characters, fantastic art, it's funny and engaging.  It's just great.  It's fairly old too (2004, I think).  I have no idea why it took me this long to get into it, but I'm glad I did, especially now that I'm so disenchanted ( Read more... )

Maybe today is just a grumpy day.  Maybe I'm frustrated at a lack of progress in work, but I've come to the conclusion that I'm pretty sure I don't want to spend my whole life doing lab work.  I don't want to go to a lab every day and be bound by experiments that I don't want to do.  I don't want to have to come up with new experiments every year ( Read more... )
