Haha, but that's exactly what the show was talking about!! The ironic part is: Sondheim obviously wrote the show based on a lot of criticisms he's recieved about his own work (not a tune you can "hum") to make a point that you CAN, however when it went on Broadway it only ran for two weeks! :(

Ahaha! I knew about the whole "not a hum-able tune" thing. I have done 2 reports on him, after all. And I was very excited when that was even quoted in Merrily and that I understood it.
