i had forgotten how snow makes things glow.

in truth, it is really the light that's emitted from the sun being bounced back off the earth (without warming it) and out again to the atmosphere. really, that snow-glow feedback effect was one of the things that caused the earth to spiral down into the last ice age. more snow = more light reflected off ( Read more... )

I just love when there's a layer of snow on everything. Something about that is just really beautiful. Also, I was looking at the blizzard after being in it and waiting for the bus and I looked away. When I looked back it had stopped and everything was just super clear, almost like a hyper clear. Not sure how that worked but it was phenomenal.
