First of all. Another Facebook moment. Last night I posted a link to a news article that talks about how the public health officials overstated the importance of the swine flu. The former medical examiner was quoted as saying "A healthy child in Canada is about 20 times more likely to be killed by a car than by the H1N1 virus, Schabas said, but ( Read more... )

So that was one post/comment that I saw and I thought "wow...DUDE!" LOL
Good thing you can take these things on the chin :)
I waited to see a response... but you are smart and didn't.

Leaky Bathroom Vaccine... hmmmm.... you should see about getting a grant to look into that further :) Tee hee.
Please fix the leak before Spring...'cause I don't want to be the one to fall through the floor while looking for the missing toilet paper :)

I agree with you. Our parents grew up fine and healthy, we grew up fine and healthy, our grandparents did.... and our children will too.
People get scared into things a lot I find. I could easily be scared into something but I always check and discuss things with my husband and go from there. Two heads are often better than one and usually helps to see the different sides of things before rushing into an OMG must do this! situation.

I think that vaccines used to be mucho grande importante. Simples things that can be cured with over the counter medicine killed countless people back in the day. However, we have those over the counter medicines now. We have a plethora of hand sanitizers, and being careful really does help spread of viruses and things. I read somewhere that something like 80% of kids being tested with the flu have H1N1, yet 80% of kids aren't dying. It's scary that it has killed some people, for sure and I don't want to minimize that, but the media needs some perspective.

Sorry I'm with her. If my child was the 0.0001% because I did not get it, I would never forgive myself. My husband is on the pandamic board in the government and he comes home every week with more deaths on the list from the meeting. I'd also take that car shot and the home repair shot....lol

But maybe a car crash one too?
