Who, what, where, and why. All of those questions had been answered for the most part upon finding evidence which explained what had happened. After some questioning of residents and reading through a few brochures about the establishment he had found himself in, Near came to the conclusion that he was indeed stuck in some promiscuous hellhole.

"Oh-!"
Looking up, Misa saw the young man on the floor as well. It was strange...from the first glimpse of him, he reminded her of L. Certainly, his features were just a bit different, but the air about him, his expression...how strange. Could this be another one of his successors?
Standing, Misa quickly offered her hands to help him up along with a soft, concerned smile.
"Sorry about that. Are you alright?"

"Thank you." He said as he took the hand that was offered and stood up. There was an awkward silence before he lifted his other hand and began twirling a small lock of white hair around it.
Only then did he realize that he was still holding onto her hand with his other. He blinked and quickly let go of her hand. "My apologies. I arrived here recently and I still am for the most part a bit perplexed as far as this facility goes."

Misa could tell the silence was awkward for him which furthered her suspicions that he did indeed know her. The holding of her hand was sweet and it was just adorable when he pulled his away, seemingly embarrassed. The young man explanation of having recently arrived had her nodding, reaching up with her left hand to tuck a stray lock of hair behind her ear. Though it was done nonchalantly, it was a test. If he were one of L's successors, he'd notice the scar, something that seemed to set her apart from the other Misa's.
"Oh, it's alright. I've been here for about five or six months so it doesn't bother me. Besides, you're adorable! You remind me of my..."
Misa pauses a moment, her index finger reaching up to tap at her lips as she thinks.
"I guess you could say boyfriend, but it sounds so cheap to refer to him as that since we're very close. Oh-!"
Realizing she hadn't introduced herself, she extended her hand, smiling.
"I'm Misa Amane."

He quirked a brow when she said the word boyfriend and also when she extended her hand for him to shake. He had never been very good at being social because he never faced a situation that called for complete socialization. Yet now he found himself at the hotel which specifically called for it instead of hiding behind a screen and avoiding most people unless they were a part of his crew working with him.
He looked down at her hand and after a couple seconds of hesitation, he shook it lightly. He didn't let go of her that time though.
"And you've confirmed my suspicions. Though I don't know why someone such as yourself would follow the orders of a young man on the verge of becoming a false God only to pit yourself in the path of danger and thus be used by him. I highly doubt he actually cares about you, given his actions and everything."

It was only that that he actually looked at his assailant, and curiosity lit his face. "Near."

He reached up a hand and twisted a lock of his short cut white hair around it. "Yes?" Well now this was odd. It felt real but if this was L, he wasn't supposed to be alive. How on earth was this entire event taking place?

"For you, would this be our first conversation Near?"

Still he didn't let it show upon his face that they bothered him. It was something trivial that he could allow to slide off his shoulders. Yet at the same time if it was truly L, to have his superior tell him something like that, well it didn't bring on the most confidant feelings.
Then again he was never good at dealing with people. Social run ins and experiences never proved to be comfortable for him.
"Aside from the ones where you speak to us from behind a screen." He replied as he continued to play with his hair a little. As he grew silent again, he was simply thinking to himself, weighing out the reality of the situation at hand.

This was the last person Matt expected to run into while he careened down the hallways full tilt. He thought he heard familiar voices, but unfortunately it had only turned out to be this idiot who couldn't watch where Matt was goi--
He paused in thought and in action since by then he had haphazardly grabbed onto clothing to help the guy up so he could continue on. It wasn't until he had him partially turned that he realized, "N.. Near?"
