musings on catlike behavior

Mar 02, 2008 15:46

I just realized that on weekends, I tell time based partly on where the sun is on the living room futon. I was watering my plant, looked over, and thought "oh, it must be about 4 - the sun's almost off the futon." I suspect Rita does the same - she was the one who mentioned a while ago that prime sun-on-futon time was 1-2 in the afternoon. We both ( Read more... )

somehow i skipped the title on this and went straight to the first paragraph and thought "how catlike." then reached the second paragraph and felt properly gratified.

We don't get direct light in winter, but in fall/spring/summer there is a tiny patch of sunlight in the living room around 3:30-5 pm, and Max always knows exactly when to go sit there, and follow the patch until it is gone.

I miss having lots of direct light in my house...but at least i has teh kitteh.

sadly, ironically, the only direct sunlight i get in my room is at sunrise, if i have my door open. it spills in through the dining room windows (which is why i have the prism there that dani gave me when i left).

hahahha. however, i've been idly wondering throughout the day if my period was gonna start soon. so when i came to "Nor have we left bloodstains in unpleasant places" my mind went...somewhere else. :>

and now, of course, you've got me eying the birds that frequent the feeder outside my window. i'm far more dog than cat, it's true, but...they just look so...tasty....

but so does brownie. thankfully.

..but then, so does kitten....

the bloodstains in unpleasant places refers to the fact that Starla once disemboweled a bird on my bed. I was not amused...

kittens are tasty, it's true. Out of curiosity, how much sleep have you gotten recently? Not that I'm saying this and the crazy are connected, or anything ;)

You've never walked into the house with a prey animal squirming in your jaws? Really?

Hum, err.... do girls count? *cheshire grin*

well, if we're talking about THAT kind of prey...I don't know that I can claim never to have trotted triumphantly in with a helpless and squirming creature.

mmm, helpless and squirming.
