What is the Beltane celebration?

Beltane's a spring fertility festival. The local wiccan group here does a ritual on beltane that anyone is welcome to come to, the basic idea behind it being that this is the time when the world is stirring to life, and we can celebrate that and encourage it by contributing our own life-giving (i.e. sexual) energy to the world.

You dance, you make merry, you bed a likely-looking lad or lass in the fields to increase their bounty.
