Or something. epanther wanted to bring some cookies to a party we are going to at a friend's house tonight, so we decided to do something seasonal, rather than one of my standards. So having just watch an episode of "Good Eats" last night featuring sugar cookies designed to bribe a nutritionally challenged delivery man with a fetish for wearing red trimmed

Those look good! Although if I were making them for myself, I might omit the crushed peppermint candy, only because I am not a big fan of candy canes and peppermints - they are probably my least favorite sugar candy. But I'd leave in the peppermint extract, because I think chocolate and peppermint go really well together, and that's about the only way I even really enjoy peppermint.

They should turn out pretty. Pinwheels.
