I always thought it was one of Churchill's aims to get us as far into Europe as possible, preferably with lots of guns and other bangy things.

Not to throw a wrench into things... The Swastika was once a symbol of peace. You can find it sewn into quilts from the days before Hitler. I still think it's a stupid idea... But it does lend a little more to the symbolism.

Yeah, but like the Confederate flag, it's come to mean something else. Symbols, like language, change, and to use a symbol for what it USED to mean without recognizing how the majority of people see it NOW is just foolish.
